Opening of the salmon season 2013

The start of the salmon season in Iceland has been very strong this summer and things are looking good. In Thvera/Kjarta the opening group landed over 50 salmon in Three days and In Laxa in Kjos River, 20 salmon was caught in 1,5 days. Simular stories can be told all over the country. River Straumfjardara – new on anglers.is

Straumfjardara River is a new River on the list of Salmon rivers on anglers.is 

Straumfjardara is a salmon river located on the Snaefellsnes peninsula in the West Iceland. With water supplied from two mountain lakes and smaller springs along its run, coming together in a riverbed of 12 km which is accessible for the salmon to run in to and spawn, as well as char and sea trout in the lower part of the river.
