Fishing began in the river Laxa in Refasveit on the first of july. On the first two days 20 salmon were caught, many of them were 4-6 kg. The fish had arrived in the river early this season and was well diverisfied when fishing began. There was salmon in every pool. As the summer progressed, less fish was caught and very few new salmon arrived in to the river. In the end about 200 salmon had been caught, well above the average but much less than the last couple of years.
