Fishing in Iceland in June 2024
Our fishing season starts on April 1st, early spring. Fishing is often very good in April, but weather dependant. When we come into May we get warmer days and early summer starts to show up. From middle of May and into late June fish are usually aggressive and fishing is often great. We have few days/spots available for early summer fishing.
Late May and June is a great time to go for Char and Trout fishing in south Iceland. As you may know, then all rivers in Iceland are private and we sell limited number of permits for each river each day. Rivers sell out and when we come close to the summer, many/most good rivers are fully booked for good part of June, July and August.
For those who are planing a good, not so expensive fishing trip in Iceland this year, you should aim for late May and June. We have few days available for small groups, 2-4 anglers – maybe also for single anglers.
- 3-6 day fishing.
- Dates from May 19th to June 22nd
- Self catering accommodation, or hotel with breakfast.
- Fly fishing, River and lake Fishing – (spin Fishing available in few lakes)
