We have all been affected by the Virus, Covid19. Here in Iceland we have managed to fight the virus very well. No new cases have been found in the last few days, and most of the restrictions for Icelanders have been lifted.
Today, the government in Iceland held a press conference.
The plan is to open everything from June 15th,. when you come to Iceland the following will apply,
- You can either bring a certificate that you have been tested back home (More details later), Not possible at the start. See here
- Or you can be tested at the airport and then you would have to wait for few hours for the result, either at the Airport or at the house you stay at.
- You would also need to download an app to help trace contact points in case of an infection. This app is activated by you if needed and follows strict rules for safety of personal information. https://www.covid.is/app/en
