Guided fishing tours in 2018
Guided fishing tours in 2018 – One of the best ways to experience Icelandic nature is to go fishing. We offer guided fishing day tours to many rivers and lakes in south west and north part of Iceland. Within approx. 1 hour driving distance from Reykjavik and Akureyri. We offer also fishing and sightseeing tour and for those who do not have many days to spare here in Iceland, this is the perfect day tour. We stop at 2-3 rivers/lakes over the approx. 10 hour tour, and we also take the time to see Geysers, Waterfalls and Thingvellir National Park. Here you can read more about those tours.
Our day tours are suitable for everyone. Experienced anglers and beginners alike are welcome.
We offer fly fishing tours, bait fishing tours and spin fishing tours in Iceland. On our day tours we fish for brown trout and arctic char, but we also offer salmon fishing day tours. We provide all fishing gear for the day, you just make sure you bring warm clothes and a rain jacket. If you want to keep the fish you catch, you should let us know in advance. At some rivers you have to release every fish you catch, but at many you can keep 1 or 2 fish.
We offer pick up in the greater Reykjavik area, but also in south Iceland, close to town Selfoss. Our standard tours are for 1-4 anglers, but we also offer tours for bigger groups. Just contact us if you want to get an offer for a group bigger than 4 anglers.
Fishing season in Iceland starts on April 1st and last day of the season is October 20th. During the winter time, all rivers are closed but some lakes are open. If the condition is right, we may offer Ice fishing trips in the winter time.
