The Lodge: No lodge at the river but plenty of cottages and guesthouses in the Area.

Svarta River in Iceland

River Svarta (Black River) is one of the best Brown Trout rivers in north-west Iceland. Svarta is fished with 4-6 rods and is “Fly only”. This river runs over 20km so there is plenty of space for each angler. River Svarta is very diverse fishing river. Part of the river is ideal for dry fly fishing but other part of it is ideal for fishing with streamers or nymps.
