Laxa in Adaldal River or “Big Laxa”, as it is also called, is Located in North Iceland, about 55km frá Akureyri town. Big Laxa is often referred to as THE big fish river in Iceland. The average size of salmon caught in big Laxa is fantastic, close to 5 kg.
Laxa is diveded in to few beats. The most famous one is called “Nesveidar (Nes)”. It is fished with 8 rods and it is very common that the biggest salmon caught each year in Iceland, is caught in this part of big Laxa.
